J. I. Blesa Lull was born in Llíria (Valencia-SPAIN). Finished his studies at the High Conservatoriums of Valencia and Castellón, where get the degree in Composition, Conduction, Clarinet, Musicology and Musical Education. Also, get the Special Price for his Composition Studies.
He has studied and received clases and workshops about composition and conduction from many teachers: Ferrer Ferran, Johan de Meij, Gregory Fritze, Franco Cesarini, Leonardo Balada, César Cano, Alfredo Aracil, Salvador Sebastià, José Rafael Pascual- Vilaplana, Rafael Sanz Espert, Andrés Valero-Castells, Antón García Abril. He has won many composition contest: International Soloist and Band Composition Award “Ciutat de Llíria”, First Prize at the V Galician Band Compostion Contest, International Chamber Music Composition Award “Salvador Seguí”, 2nd Prize at VI Choral Composition Contest “Coral de Cámara de Pamplona”, 2nd Prize at III Iberoamerican Band Composition Contest “Villa de Ortigueira”. His Works have been played by soloist and bands like José Franch-Ballester, Spanish Brass Luur Metals, Dario Sotelo, Alberto Roque, Manuel Galduf, Council Bands of Valencia, Mallorca, Bilbao, Santiago de Compostela, Córdoba (Argetina), Banda Sinfonica do Estado do Sao Paulo (Brasil), Orquesta de Sopros ESML (Lisboa).
Recently, Jose is called to conduct his own music by bands as Tainan Wind Ensemble (Taiwan) Banda de Música de Pontevedra, Orquesta de Sopros do Medio Tejo (Portugal), Pihalni Orkester Zelezarjev (Slovenia), Banda del Conservatori de Tortosa, Banda de Música de Felanitx. Nowadays, he is teaching at the Medium Conservatorium of Music in Lliria and is the principal conductor of the Unión Musical “San Roque” of Villargordo del Cabriel (Valencia).
